Emma House has been providing shelter and support—and a viable option to abortion—to homeless pregnant women since 1992. It has housed more than 140 women so far. Emma House provides Christ-centred support to women and their unborn and newly-born children and also helps these new mothers experience hope for the future. The name “Emma” means “whole” or “complete,” and as such, Emma House helps women who have found themselves pregnant and homeless find wholeness in their lives.
