INVEST IN EMMA HOUSE
Financially
Emma House receives ongoing support from two
primary sources:
1. Emma Maternity House Society members who pay their $50-a-year
membership fee and often make additional donations.
2. Churches, businesses and other organizations that make regular
donations.
Their combined support enables Emma
House to pay its expenses including mortgage payments, building
maintenance, vehicle, insurance, utilities, staff salary, food, etc.
Please
partner with us by paying a portion of our ongoing expenses. For
example:
-
donate
$700 and pay for one month of our grocery bills
-
donate
$526 and make one of our monthly mortgage payments
-
donate
$320 and pay for one month of our utility bills (natural gas,
electricity and water/sewer)
-
donate
$120 and pay for one month of our gasoline expenses
To become an Emma Maternity House
Society member, and/or to make a larger financial investment in this

With your Time and Talents
We can
use your help in the following ways:
- Donations
- Create entertainment and recreational opportunities for the
residents by donating tickets or discount coupons to local theatres,
plays swimming pools and other events and facilities.
- Maintenance
Work – Because Emma House is just that, a house, it is always
in need of repair and maintenance.
The more hands the lighter the job.
Join us for an evening or Saturday for odd jobs around the
house.
- Being
relief Residence Directors – This would involve staying at the
house while the Residence Directors are away for a weekend off or
holidays. We will provide
training and support.
- Being
a mentor to the women – Spending time with one or more of the
girls. Invite them to
your home for dinner, take them to the mall or church.
Become a positive friend/role model for them.
- Teaching/sharing
crafts – If you can knit, quilt, crochet, or do some other
kind of craft, we invite you into the house to teach it to the
girls.
- Being
part of a Prayer team – This is something new that we would
like to start to support our residents and our ministry.
