If you are an expectant mother and are looking for support, please call or text us at 403-870-5231.

Emma House provides housing and support for pregnant women and youth (ages 12+) who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. At Emma House, expectant mothers are welcomed into a safe, supportive, loving, and inclusive environment. Each resident receives her own bedroom and bathroom, access to nutritional meals, and 24/7 trauma-informed care and case management support. Emma House residents are able to stay at Emma House anywhere from 6 months after their baby is born to early toddlerhood. This is to ensure a successful, safe, and sustainable transition into community for these young families.

Emma House also offers individualized and group-based life skills programming for each resident. Our Life Skills Program is tailored to meet the unique needs of each mother and baby at Emma House.

Our Life Skills Program offers the following courses and supports:

  • Early childhood development assessments and support
  • Active/positive parenting
  • Prenatal and postpartum support
  • Financial literacy and money management education
  • Nutrition and meal planning
  • Personal empowerment
  • Healthy relationships and boundaries

These and other resources provide resident mothers with the skills and resources required to learn, grow, and thrive in their communities with their children.
