The last five months have been very challenging for many of us. Despite navigating a global pandemic, there have been many beautiful opportunities and partnerships that have been created at Emma House. We are incredibly grateful for our supporters and cannot wait to share with you what has been happening at Emma House this year.

New Partnerships

Local hero and health care professional, Dr. Joyce Woods, made beautiful masks for Emma House residents and staff. Dr. Woods is an Associate Professor at Mount Royal University in Nursing and Midwifery. She has made and donated over 3000 masks to local charities and agencies. The safety of our residents, babies, and staff is our number one priority. We are so grateful for Dr. Wood’s generosity and to all the health care professionals and health care workers.

Update

Over the last couple of months, Emma House has been awarded numerous grants. Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) in partnership with the Government of Alberta and the Calgary Foundation awarded Emma House with generous grants as part of their COVID-19 response. These grants will go towards providing our residents with technology to be able to access necessary and essential supports. Proceeds from these grants will also supply PPE to our residents and staff. We could not be more grateful for our supports during this challenging time.
