Emma House is pleased to partner with a number of educational institutions and offer a variety of practicum opportunities.  Practicum is a great way to gain hands-on experience before graduating. We welcome practicum applications year round from students studying in areas such as (but not limited to):

  • Social Work
  • Midwifery and Nursing
  • Behavioural Science
  • Psychology
  • Counselling
  • Communications
  • Addictions and Mental Health
  • Community Support Worker

Every year dozens of students from various institutions within the city such as Bow Valley College, University of Calgary, Mount Royal University, Ambrose University, CDI College, ABES (SAIT), Reeves College, and Robertson College gain impactful work experience at Emma House.
