2023 Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink

Emma House is pleased to announce that we are once again a Participating Charity in the 2023 Shaw Birdies for Kids Presented by AltaLink (BFK). BFK is a non-profit program operating under the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation. From now until August, all donations made to Emma House through BFK will be matched up to 50%.

Funds raised through this program will support our endeavour to create a specially designed, welcoming, and comforting space for moms and babies to participate, learn and grow essential skills through our Life Skills Program. Our Life Skills Program provides space where residents can learn the skills that they need to thrive in community such as parenting, nutrition, financial literacy, resume building and boundaries. Our hope is to create a beautiful, welcoming, and safe space where our residents can overcome trauma, mental health issues, and stigma.

Emma House is incredibly grateful for this partnership. We know that funds raised through the BFK program will help more pregnant women and youth facing homelessness to find sustainable housing and create a better future for themselves and for their little ones.
